THE ADVENT PATH
IN THE MAGIC OF VALBRUNA FORESTS
An enchanting lantern-lit path winds through the woods of the village of Valbruna. A walk immersed in the typical Christmas atmosphere of Valcanale, framed by the snow-capped peaks of the Julian Alps and the wooden works of local artists.
Along the route: stoves where you can stop and sip a warm tea, handcrafted cribs, a small stable with cute animals and characteristic stavoli (sort of shelters) where fairy tales and ancient legends are told to children, while traditional music is sung and played around the fire.
A return to the Christmas of yesteryear and its magical period of preparation: Advent. A time of waiting to be experienced in an intimate way, appreciating the simplicity of what nature has to offer, walking on snow crunching underfoot in the silence that pervades the forest and the cold air that stings the face.

CHRISTMAS MARKET
On 2 and 3 December, the Venetian Palace in Malborghetto will host an enchanting Christmas market.
The various rooms of the ancient building will be enlivened by lovely stalls offering mountain and Christmas products.
Exhibitors from Austria, Slovenia and Italy.

THE MONUMENTAL ADVENT CALENDAR
From 5 to 31 December, the 16th-century Venetian Palace will be festively transformed into a monumental calendar ‘beyond’ Advent.
The 31 windows of the majestic building, decorated with backlit decals, illustrated by local artist Pietro Nicolaucich, will reveal a splendid Christmas image every day.

An enthralling journey to discover the most intimate and intrinsic aesthetic nuances of water:

with its rooms dedicated to geology, palaeontology, ethnography and nature,
it is an essential starting point for embarking on a journey of discovery of the Valcanale.
